The mild temperatures of between christmas and new year eve 2022 did give us the unforseen opportunity to taggle a climbing project I did long hope to do: the Linke Achsel in Oberammergau. The Linke Achsel is a not so difficult climbing route to the Kofel, the famous local mountain of Oberammergau, the famous town in the Ammergauer Alps. The Kofel is the mountain where I did observe some climbers arriving at the top of the mountain and where I thought that multi pitching climbing could be interesting.

Map matching serves the purpose of preprocess geographical data and to fix deviations of geopositions from the real geopositions due to measurement errors or the lack of measurements. Map matching applies geo positions to maps and assign the geo positions to the most probable geo position with considering the features of the map. The following YouTube video is an introduction into map matching. When I was working on a project, I was interested into map matching algorithms especially how they work and what the map service providers do offer.

Die ungewöhnlich warmen Temperaturen rund um die Weihnachtstage haben mich verführt zwei Radtouren zu unternehmen. Glücklicherweise konnte ich noch vor Weihnachten einige gute Radlklamotten erstehen mit denen ich das Radfahren in der kalten Jahreszeit angenehmer gestalten kann. Die erste Tour hat mich bei doch recht widrigen Bedingungen an der Isar entlang nach Freising geführt. Eine Tour die ich früher gerne gefahren bin, aber jetzt schon lange nicht mehr gefahren bin. Die Bedingungen waren miserabel, aber es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht.
